When a large Monsoon hit this neighborhood many trees toppled or broke. A large branch on this Palo Verde tree split and left behind a 2 foot, jagged wound. Fortunately the other branches stopped it before it hit the home below. Although trees can sometimes survive a large break these open wounds are slow to heal and can lead to disease. We removed the break down to the highest, healthy fork. This smaller, cleaner cut is superior for the same reasons that surgeons prefer smaller openings. A small even cut, is less traumatic and will heal faster and better which greatly reduces the chance of disease.
